Patrick Carden

Patrick brings a zealous spirit to the firm stemming from his years of playing competitive sports.  Patrick is a Sacramento native and attended California State University, Sacramento where he was a member of the men’s soccer team and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

Mr. Carden obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego, School of Law.  During law school, Patrick focused on acquiring as much practical experience as he could through legal internships and clinics, while balancing three part-time jobs and a full academic course load.  He served as a judicial extern for two Federal Judges in the Southern District of California. He also volunteered at the University of San Diego Veteran’s Legal Clinic and the Civil Clinic, where he gained hands-on experience and used his legal knowledge to help the less fortunate and give back to his community.  He worked as an Articles Editor on the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law and received an award of recognition for completing over 100 hours of pro bono legal service.

Since joining Roy J. Park & Associates Patrick has honed in his proficiency in workers’ compensation defense, exclusively conducting all phases of litigation, from claim inception through resolution. He has developed a particular interest and expertise in litigating QME panel issues. In addition, much of Patrick’s success is due to his fluency in deposing applicants which have effectively led to him preemptively settle cases at depositions.

Patrick has participated and attended educational training seminars with Association of Workers’ Compensation Professionals.

Outside the office, Patrick enjoys spending time with his fiancée and his puppy, playing golf, and staying active. He values quality family time, fitness and considers himself a dedicated sports fan.  Specifically, you’ll find him rooting for Manchester City, the Sacramento Kings, and the San Francisco 49ers.
